Re-elected Monkayo Mayor Ramil L. Gentugaya took his oath at his office in the Municipal Hall Building in a simple ceremony, marking the second term of his duties as the municipality’s top executive.

“In the best interest of all Monkayoans, through Responsive Local Governance… I commit myself and remain”, Mayor Gentugaya said in his short message.
Also, the re-elected mayor assured Monkayoans that he will always prioritize them and continue his doable programs and projects that will benefit its constituents.
He also promised that his government will continue to be one that is accountable, inclusive, and transparent and vows for more efficient and effective delivery of basic services.
Mayor Gentugaya defeated former Mayor Joselito B. Brillantes in the May 13, 2019 midterm polls with 23,625 votes.
